Tekplay, a digital business transformation company, has become the technology partner for Chennai Super Kings, the IPL team which is coming back after a two-year break in the coming season.
According to a press release from the company, Tekplay Systems will build the IPL franchise’s CSK 2.0 Digital Platform. The new technology platform will integrate e-commerce for merchandising, ticketing, applications for engaging with fans and platform revenues.
The release quoting George John, Director, CSK, said: “We are expecting Tekplay’s expertise in sports technology solutions and their global team to create the next level of digital solutions that will engage the CSK fan base.”
Tekplay, launched in March 2017, has scaled up rapidly and acquired three technology companies – XcellFORCE, a San Jose-based services company; Tekoptimize, a products company in California; and GlobalSoft Solutions of New Jersey. With these acquisitions, the company has grown to a consolidated annual revenue of $ 30 Million in the current financial year in which it plans to focus on organic growth from existing and acquired businesses.
It is also eyeing investments in Singapore and Dubai and is currently in the process of evaluating providers with a strong suite of enterprise solutions.
Tekplay’s focus area will be industry-specific digital transformation frameworks that enable businesses to stay competitive.
