The V IT Park, managed by Ascendas, has been awarded the platinum rating by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).
The park, located within HITEC City, Hyderabad, achieved this rating at the final review of IGBC Green Existing Buildings Rating and has set a unique record of becoming the first IGBC platinum rated IT park in India.
The platinum rating has been given on achieving all prerequisites under five environmental categories as defined by IGBC Green Existing Categories Buildings namely site and facility management, water efficiency, energy efficiency, health & comfort and innovation.
Lee Fu Nyap, CEO Ascendas India Operations, said, “To be first platinum rated IT park in the country makes it special. Five of our 8 operational IT parks have won green awards for various environment friendly initiatives.”

The V IT Park is spread across 20 acres and offers 1.2 million sq ft of space housing over 12,000 skilled professionals. The park along with CyberPearl and aVance Business Hub are the three parks in Hyderabad managed by Ascendas and constitute a substantial part of the total assets managed by Ascendas in India.
