Telecom services provider Vodafone India on Tuesday launched ‘Vodafone Flex’ for prepaid customers that come with no pre-fixed quotas for voice, data or SMS — available in denominations ranging from ₹117-398.
This new offer will give each individual customer to use as per his/ her preference and needs, Flex for voice, data, roaming or SMS — all with a single recharge, the company said.
For example, at a Flex recharge of ₹117, one can get 135 minutes of talk time and 55MB of data services with a validity of 28 day, which otherwise, was only 137 minutes of talk time and no data service offer or validity in the existing plans.
Similarly, for high-end users, there is a plan available for ₹398 which has benefit of 375 minutes and 1GB valid for 28 days, as compared to only 212 minutes, 1GB at same price in the current pack.
Vodafone Flex customers can also carry forward their unused Flex, keep a tab on their exact usage, and enjoy savings up to 25 per cent, all this with a single recharge valid for 28 days, it said.
“Ninety per cent of customers prefer to use prepaid and Vodafone Flex has been specially designed with the singular objective of making the user experience of the hundreds of million prepaid customers simplerz richer and more enjoyable,” Sandeep Kataria, Director--Commercial, Vodafone India, said here.
He said there is no need for customers to buy different packs for different requirements (like only calling/ only internet) as the Flex plan has advantage of automatically customising the calling or data usage (as per flex points) and also no need to worry about the validity of such plans (data pack/ calling pack valid for seven days).
He said although the company will continue with the older prepaid plans too, ultimately customers would see benefiting more from the ‘Flex’ plans. However, the company has not decided such plans for the post-paid customers yet.
