Vodafone India has launched a special tariff voucher for its pre-paid subscribers offering free incoming calls on national roaming at Rs 5 a day.
The outgoing call charges, while on roaming under this daily plan, would be billed at 1.5 paise per second, the company said in a statement.
Additionally, the GSM operator is also offering a monthly plan with free incoming calls on roaming starting at Rs 71 for its pre-paid customers and Rs 75 for its post-paid customers.
“There is an increasing need of customers to remain connected while travelling and our latest national roaming plans enable our customers to do that without worrying about high roaming cost. With these new roaming plans we aim to offer a hassle-free roaming experience to our customers,” Vodafone India Chief Commercial Officer, Vivek Mathur, said.
Vodafone India has also launched two roaming tariff plans - Roaming Tariff Plan and Roaming Tariff Plan Free - for both its pre- and post-paid customers. These plans come with reduced incoming roaming tariff and free incoming roaming benefit, it added.
The price point for the new plans for pre-paid customers start at Rs 196 (varies from state to state) and Rs 149 for its post-paid users.
