Vodafone today said that its SuperNet initiative has been rolled out across Karnataka.
Touching 7.2 million subscribers in the state, Vodafone added that it has rolled out 2,000 cell sites across Karnataka to launch its 4G network in Bengaluru and Mysuru in addition to its 3G network which is now available across 20 cities including Bengaluru, Tumkur, Chikmagalur, Hassan, Mangalore, Sirsi, Mysuru, Madikeri, Hubli-Dharwad, Belgaum, Gadag, Bagalkot, Gulbarga, Raichur, Bidar, Bijapur, Davangere, Chitradurga, Bellary and Shimoga.
Amit Kapur, Business Head – Karnataka, Vodafone India said: "We have made significant investments to expand, upgrade and modernise our network in Karnataka in recent months and with the launch of Vodafone SuperNet, we will continue to deploy multiple technologies to cater to the requirements of smart phone users in urban and rural Karnataka."
Further, SuperNet4G, is now available on the 1800 Mhz spectrum band across Bangalore covering all prominent locations, along with Mysuru.
