Vodafone India has launched new international roaming packs for both post-paid and pre-paid customers travelling abroad.

The packs, which can used while travelling across 53 countries, offer 95 per cent discount on data and up to 78 per cent discount on outgoing local and international calls when compared with existing rates.

The packs have been rolled out for nations that include popular business and tourist destinations such as the UK, the US, the UAE, Thailand and Singapore.

The packs are available for a rental of Rs 599 and Rs 1,499 and come with a validity of 10 and 30 days, respectively. For the list of applicable countries and networks, the subscribers need to SMS Pack<space>country to 111.

To activate the pack of their choice, Vodafone subscribers only need to SMS ACT<space>IR1 for the Rs 599 pack and ACT<space>IR2 for the Rs 1,499 pack.

With rates as low as Rs 30 per MB for data download while roaming overseas, the packs offer 95 per cent discount on prevailing rates. Outgoing local and international calls will be charged at Rs 15 per minute and Rs 30 per minute, respectively, a discount of almost 78 per cent on the prevailing rates.

Incoming calls would be charged at Rs 30 per minute (over 50 per cent discount on prevailing rates). The Rs 1,499 plan additionally offers 30 minutes of free incoming calls.

Pre-paid customers can avail of these offers through recharge vouchers of Rs 673 and Rs 1,684, respectively.
