Walmart Labs at Bangalore, a unit of the retail giant’s e-commerce operations will hire about 200 engineers in the next few months. These engineers would support Walmart’s global strategy of anytime, anywhere access where customers can shop for products through mobile, internet or physical stores.
Walmart Labs has moved into a 50,000 sq ft facility in Bangalore. "No plans yet for e-commerce in India," says Mr Jeremy King, senior vice-president and Chief Technology Officer, Walmart global e-commerce.
