In an effort to boost employee morale and assure investors that the company will stay its course, interim Infosys CEO Pravin Rao has written an email to employees.

“We will stay the course and continue to execute on the strategy laid out,” said Rao in a note that was circulated to 2 lakh Infosys employees.

Assuring employees that initiatives put in place by former CEO Vishal Sikka, such as Zero Distance is starting to yield results, Rao pointed out that Infosys is already seeing how its new services offering is gaining traction.

Recently, Sikka had said that 10 per cent of the software major’s revenues is coming from new service areas. “We have embraced automation to help us be more productive in our work and how it is creating more opportunities for us to focus our energies on innovation — both for ourselves and our clients,” he said.

Rao added that there can be no disruption in the work, alluding to reports which have said that competitors may stand to gain in the ensuing battle between the founders and the management.

As has always been, the foundation for this will continue to be our culture, our values- especially our ability to learn and do more than simply executing the jobs we are handed, he said.

Rao also had a word of caution saying that days ahead won’t be easy and there will intense attention from all the stakeholders. However, he said that this is not the first time Infosys has been up against tough challenges, rough economic conditions, near impossible projects, leadership exits, public debates about our future.

“We have seen it all and have emerged stronger, wiser and most importantly still together as one Infosys,” he concluded.
