Wipro Ltd has appointed Inderpreet Sawhney as Senior Vice-President and General Counsel of the company.
“Inderpreet will head Wipro’s legal function and uphold Wipro’s tradition of doing business in an ethical, transparent and responsible manner,” the Bangalore-headquartered, New York Stock Exchange-listed firm said in a statement.
An attorney with 20 years of experience in India and the US, she will also drive corporate compliance at various business operating entities globally.
Wipro IT Business CEO and Executive Director, Mr T.K. Kurien, said: “Inderpreet brings with her a wealth of transnational experience, which I am confident will benefit Wipro immensely.

Prior to joining Wipro, she served as the Managing Partner of The Chugh Firm’s Silicon Valley office, where her mandate was to provide counsel on complex international transactions, corporate review, mergers and acquisitions, litigation management, employment (including immigration) matters to information technology, business process outsourcing, retail service and hospitality companies.
Ms Inderpreet, who began her career in ITC Limited, also serves on the National Advisory Council of NASABA (North American South Asian Bar Association), it said.
