Wipro said its shareholders have given nod to the company’s ₹11,000-crore buyback proposal. Last month, the company said it will purchase up to 343.75 million shares at ₹ 320 per share.
The company said in a filing with the BSE that a special resolution for the proposal was passed through postal ballot and e-voting by members by requisite majority. A total of 99.68 per cent of the votes were cast in favour of the buyback offer.
