After appointing a new CEO and a Chief Operating Officer (COO), Wipro on Friday announced a new management structure in some of its key business areas.
Bhanumurthy BM, the newly-appointed COO, a position that remained vacant since September 2009, told employees in an internal email that Hiral Chandrana will take over as Vice-President and Head–Business Application Services (BAS), a service line that contributed a mere 0.7 per cent of its September-ended quarter revenues.
Kiran Desai has been appointed as Vice President and Head–Global Infrastructure Services, which contributed 1.8 per cent.
As a part of this change in structure, India’s third-largest software exporter appointed Pallabh Deb as the VP and Head–Analytics, a service line which contributed 3.1 per cent but is increasingly becoming an area of differentiation for Indian outsourcing companies.
Neemuchwala, who is currently Group President and Chief Operating Officer, will take over from TK Kurien, who will become the Executive Vice-Chairman and continue on the company’s Board until March 31, 2017. Both appointments are effective February 1, 2016.
Meanwhile, Ramesh Nagarajan, will take up a new role as Senior VP and Head–Services Integration and Excellence and Krishnakumar N Menon, will be VP and Head–Service Transformation, the email said.
