Ybrant Digital will now be formally called Lycos.
The Hyderabad-based digital marketing and IT services company had sought the permission of BSE to rechristen the name.
The firm had bought the US search engine firm last year. The change of name was aimed at using the brand value of Lycos globally.
The BSE gave the formal nod today for the name change.
The new scrip ID on BSE is LYCOS, Suresh Reddy, Chairman and CEO of Lycos, said.
