The second quarter net profit of Zensar Technologies rose 46 per cent year on year to Rs 40 crore against Rs.27.5 crore in the same quarter of last year. Revenue grew by 55 per cent in the two comparable quarters to Rs 409 crore.
Dr Ganesh Natarajan, Vice-Chairman and CEO, Zensar, said, “This has been a landmark quarter for us with the completion of the integration of Akibia and robust order booking performance by all the verticals. We are confident that many of the new solutions we have launched in the market will keep our revenues robust in the remaining quarters of the year.”
The company has recently been restructured to provide specialised vertical solutions to global corporations across the world. The solutions and domain expertise are helping it grow revenues from the current customer base and add new customers to the vertical portfolios, it said.
As on September 30, 2011, Zensar's total headcount was at 6,764, including 318 Akibia associates. It added 23 new customers during the quarter.
