Zensar Technologies has reported a net profit of Rs 71.5 crore in Q3 of the current fiscal versus Rs 69.5 crore in the same quarter of FY 15, translating into a rise of 2.9% year on year.

The Pune-based software and infrastructure services and solutions provider has posted 5.5% growth in revenue that stood at Rs 756.8 crore and Rs 717.7 crore respectively in the two quarters being compared.

On a year-on year basis, the company reported PAT growth by 23.9% from Rs 192.8 crore at the end of Q3 FY 15 to Rs 239 crore in Q3 FY 16. Revenue growth in the 9-month period grew by 12.6% rising from Rs 1,970 crore last year to Rs 2,218 crore at the end of December 31, 2015.

“Our focus on Digital and eCommerce continue to spur growth for Zensar in all territories. These businesses have touched a contribution of 26% to the YTD revenues of the company,” Dr Ganesh Natarajan, Vice-Chairman and CEO, Zensar Technologies said in a filing to the BSE.

Amongst the new businesses during the quarter are Oracle Commerce implementation on PARADE (Professional Access Rapid Application Deployment Environment) for one of South Africa's leading fashion retailers, Oracle Commerce implementation for a Latin American technology company and a multi-million dollar five-year Managed Services deal with one of UK's largest retailer.
