Zicom Electronic Security Systems has introduced ‘Qube Camera', a security device for offices and homes. Designed on the IP surveillance platform, Qube Camera will facilitate remote monitoring of homes and office spaces on cellular phones and computers. Remote monitoring by video allows home and office owners to oversee many remote sites from a central point, and also manage multiple locations security off-site. It provides quality video and audio recordings that can be used in situations when evidence is required.
Unlike erstwhile security devices, the Qube Camera enables direct recording on the hard disk of computers with the help of the software included in the kit. Live monitoring through the Internet is also facilitated. The device comes with a night vision mode supported by 6 Infrared LED's that are effective up till a distance of five metres. It requires a single LAN cable to be connected to the nearest hub/switch. The device also supports 2-way audio communication.
