Zync unveils Android 4.0 tablet for Rs 8,990

An Indian company Zync has launched an ‘Android Ice Cream Sandwich' tablet in India at Rs 8,990.

The Zync Z-990 is based on the latest Google Android platform for phones and tablets called ‘Ice Cream Sandwich' .

Zync belongs to the ‘Apple Group' of companies that says it is present in a range of industries from steel to commodities trading.

Mr Ashish Garg, Chairman, Apple Group of Companies, said, “The Zync Z-990 tablet is India's first Android 4.0 tablet with features such as control over data usage, new gallery app with photo editor, new lock action, new user interface, new camera capabilities and five point touch.

With keyboard

“We have also designed a keyboard, especially for this tablet and priced it just as nominally. We developed Zync Z-990 based on the great consumer response to our earlier tablets Z-900, Z-909 and Z-999.”

The company claims it to be the cheapest tablet in this space and targets the student's community. An attached keyboard is also available for the tablet.
