BSE Institute Ltd, a subsidiary of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), announced the launch of a post-graduate programme in business journalism on Tuesday.
The one-year full-time programme, which will commence in the last week of August, will look at subjects of finance, economics and financial markets along with journalism-related topics.
Further, students will be introduced to business and financial reporting, explore corporate and industry news as well as national and local economic trends.
Mr Ambarish Datta, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, BSE Institute, said, “The financial crisis that has rocked the world over the last few years has highlighted the need for skilled business journalists, who can understand the increasingly complex world of business and finance and interpret in a manner that makes it easy for the average person on the street take informed decisions.”
