On Thursday, Bank Nifty emerged the biggest gainer among the sectoral indices powered by gains made by a mix of private and PSU bank stocks on the NSE.
Axis Bank was the biggest gainer in terms of value, up by Rs 28.20 to trade at Rs 1,320.40. SBI was up by Rs 21.25 to trade at Rs 1,786.30 and Bank of Baroda was trading at Rs 674.35, a gain of Rs 17. ICICI Bank was trading at Rs 1,114, a gain of Rs 16.30 and PNB edged up by Rs 12.10 to Rs 647.
The NSE Bank Nifty was up by 166.50 points with all the 12 stocks constituting the index were trading in the green.
