The DLF scrip tanked 27.98 per cent to ₹105.8 on the NSE on Tuesday as the market reacted to the Monday order of the Securities and Exchange Board of India barring the realty major and its promoters from the market for three years.
It was the biggest loser in the Nifty and the CNX Realty Index, which lost nine per cent to close at 183.6.
Over 8.67 crore DLF shares were traded on the NSE, of which, 27.18 per cent will be delivered. On the BSE, the scrip fell 28.46 per cent to close at ₹104.95.
It was also the biggest loser in the Sensex and its sectoral index, the BSE Realty Index, pulling it down 9.24 per cent to 1,419.23. Of the 13 scrips in the index, 10 declined and only three advanced on Tuesday.
Over 1.68 crore shares of DLF were traded on the BSE, with a delivery percentage of 20.49 per cent.
