Goldman Sachs Singapore today acquired 20.26 lakh shares of private sector lender Yes Bank for about Rs 77 crore, through an open market transaction.
As per the bulk deal data with the bourses, Goldman Sachs picked up a total of 20,26,858 shares of Yes Bank.
The shares were purchased for an average price of Rs 379.7 apiece, valuing the transaction at Rs 76.95 crore, the data showed.
In a separate bulk deal, Goldman Sachs Singapore offloaded 12,340 shares of the private sector lender for Rs 46.95 lakh.
Banking stocks ruled the day in an overall buoyant market as all the 13 listed financial scrips surged in the range of 5.13-22.54 per cent.
Yes Bank shares shot up by 22.54 per cent to Rs 386.80 apiece at the BSE today.
