Promoter firm offloads entire stake in Tata Steel

Kalimati Investment Company, a promoter group company of the Tatas sold its entire stake in group company Tata Steel and divested some in Tata Motors.

The company sold its entire 0.07 per cent stake of 6,71,455 shares of Tata Steel in a market sale on the NSE on March 3 for Rs 31.26 crore. The average price of the transaction works out to be Rs 465.55/ share.

Kalimati also sold 3,63,045 shares of Tata Motors on the same day for Rs 9.71 crore on the NSE in a market sale. The average price works out to be Rs 267.46/ share.

Kalimati's still holds 0.144 per cent or 38,76,820 shares in Tata Motors.

Both the transactions were executed by Dhanki Securities.

Meanwhile, another Tata group company, Tata Industries, also sold 90,000 ‘A' ordinary shares of Tata Motors on March 3 for Rs 1.33 crore in a market sale on the NSE. The average price works out to be Rs 147.78/ share.

Dhanki Securities and Tata Securities executed the transactions for Tata Industries.
