The US markets were up in the morning session on Friday. Analysts said better economic data helped the markets to rise.
The Dow Jones industrial average moved up by 100.04 points at 16,372.69. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up by 11.32 points at 1,865.61. The Nasdaq Composite Index gained 19.09 points at 4,338.02.
