Shares of Areva T&D India will be excluded from the FTSE IDFC India Infrastructure 30 Index making way for Apollo Hospitals effective from March 18, global index provider FTSE has said.
After the March 2013 semi-annual review, constituent changes were made in the FTSE IDFC India Infrastructure Index Series, which includes FTSE IDFC India Infrastructure 30 index and FTSE IDFC India Infrastructure Index.
As per the FTSE IDFC India Infrastructure 30 index, Areva T&D India will be excluded, while, Apollo Hospitals would be included.

The companies that would be included in the FTSE IDFC India Infrastructure index include —— Apollo Hospitals, Jaiprakash Power Ventures, IL&FS Transport Networks, BS and Tecpro Systems.
The exclusions include Areva T&D India, PTC India, Pratibha Industries, Titagarh Wagons, Atlanta India, Voltam Transformers and Tulip Telecom.
All constituent changes will be applied after the close of business on March 15, 2013 and will be effective on March 18, 2013, FTSE said.
The FTSE IDFC India Infrastructure Index Series was designed to represent the performance of Indian companies that generate a majority of their revenue from infrastructure.
