Despite the market trading higher, the auto majors were under some selling pressure in morning trade today.
It was not only the four-wheeler manufacturers but even the stocks of two-wheeler makers were in negative territory. Surprisingly, two-wheeler manufacturers shed more value compared to the shares of four-wheeler producers.
Hero MotoCorp was the biggest loser in terms of value, shedding Rs 41.45 to trade at Rs 1,900. Bajaj Auto lost Rs 24.75 at Rs 1,686.
Maruti was down by Rs 11.30 at Rs 1,350.80. Tata Motors was marginally down by Rs 2.45 at Rs 281.
