Bank stocks witness selling pressure

Bank stocks came under pressure with the weak IIP numbers adding to the market downturn today.

ICICI Bank and SBI were the major losers. While ICICI Bank lost Rs 17.70 to trade at Rs 922.10, SBI shed Rs 16.20 at Rs 2,167.80. The other stocks to decline were Axis Bank, which was down by Rs 12.85 at Rs 1,121.65, and HDFC Bank and BoI, which were down by about Rs 4 each.

The major gainers were BoB, up by Rs 11.20 at Rs 817, and PNB, up by Rs 7.35 at Rs 1,007.90.
