The BSE on Friday reported only a marginal rise in consolidated net profit for the March quarter from a year ago. Asia’s oldest bourse reported a 3.3 per cent y-o-y rise in consolidated net profit at ₹62.08 crore (₹60.11 crore). Revenue from operations grew 19 per cent to ₹136.57 crore (₹114.83 crore)
However, for fiscal 2018, net profit zoomed 222 per cent to ₹711.28 crore (₹220.57 crore), while revenue from operations increased 28 per cent to ₹476.98 crore (₹373.65 crore).
The equity cash segment average daily turnover decreased by 31 per cent to ₹4,711 crore for Q4 FY18 from ₹6,810 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017.
Final dividend of ₹31 per equity share is proposed in addition to the interim dividend of ₹5 paid in February, taking the total dividend for FY18 to ₹36 a share, it said in a statement.
