About 29 per cent of 18.88 lakh kg offered for Sale No: 20 of Coonoor Tea Trade Association remained unsold despite average price falling to ₹87.76 a kg from previous week’s ₹88.30 due to reduced demand for higher bids.
Among CTC teas from bought-leaf factories, Homedale Estate’s Super Red Dust, auctioned by Global Tea Brokers, topped both the Dust auctions and the entire CTC market when Om Enterprises bought it for ₹195 a kg.
In the orthodox market, Kodanad topped at ₹237 a kg followed by Havukal at ₹210 and Kairbetta ` 200.
