About 80 per cent of the 10.77 lakh kg offered for Sale No: 14 of Coonoor Tea Trade Association (CTTA) auctions absorbed with average price falling to ₹106.92 a kg from previous week’s ₹107.47. Darmona Estate’s Broken Orange Pekoe Small grade, auctioned by J Thomas and Co P Ltd, topped the Leaf auction and the entire CTC market when Sree Sai Corporation bought it for ₹221 a kg. Homedale Estate’s Broken Pekoe, auctioned by Global Tea Brokers, followed it at ₹218. In the CTC Dust auction, Homedale Estate’s Red Dust, auctioned by Global Tea Brokers, topped at ₹201. In the orthodox market, Chamraj and Kodanad topped at ₹246 a kg.
