About 91 per cent of the 10.11 lakh kg offered for Sale No: 5 of Coonoor Tea Trade Association auctions was absorbed with average price ruling ₹106.32 a kg from previous week’s ₹106.06. Homedale Estate’s Red Dust, auctioned by Global Tea Brokers, topped the Dust tea auction and the entire CTC market when GLT Enterprises bought it for ₹212 a kg. Closely following it at ₹211 was Homedale Estate’s Pekoe Dust, auctioned by Global Tea Brokers. In the CTC Leaf auction, the highest price of ₹195 was bagged by Homedale Estate tea, auctioned by Global Tea Brokers. In the orthodox market, Kodanad topped at ₹256 a kg.
