Crude oil futures prices today fell 0.17 per cent to Rs 5,395 per barrel after speculators reduced their exposures amid a weak trend in Asian trade.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in June fell Rs 9 or 0.17 per cent to Rs 5,395 per barrel in 7,142 lots. Similarly, the oil for July delivery moved down by Rs 7 or 0.13 per cent to Rs 5,426 per barrel in a turnover of 1,061 lots.

Trading sentiment turned weak at the futures trade as crude prices declined in Asian trade as dealers await the release of crucial US jobs data later in the day, analysts said.

Meanwhile, crude oil for July delivery dropped five cents to $94.71 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
