Spot turmeric prices decreased in Erode markets on Wednesday due to rising arrivals.“Due to sudden spurt in arrival in three markets, prices of the yellow spice declined. Traders procured 60 per cent of the 5,000 bags that arrived. Traders are having some upcountry orders but are keen on quality. No bulk buying was seen as demand form North India has decreased due to the onset of winter,” said RKV Ravishankar, Erode Turmeric Merchants Association.
