Prices of poultry feed products are likely to turn cheaper by the end of this week on account of lower input cost.

Aditya Mishra, a commodity expert, told Business Line , that despite a marginal uptrend in the prices of soyameal, poultry feed prices are likely to decrease by Rs 10-25 for a 30 kg and 50 kg bag, within a couple of days.

Soyameal went up by Rs 40 and settled at Rs 2,820 a quintal.

Bajra prices increased by Rs 10 and sold at Rs 1,380, while maize ruled flat and quoted at Rs 1,550.

Di-calcium phosphate eased marginally by Re 1 and sold at Rs 35.50 a kg, rice bran oil was at Rs 57 a kg while the prices of mustard de-oiled cake decreased by Rs 30 and sold at Rs 1,500.

Feed Prices

Broiler concentrate quoted at Rs 1,800 for a 50-kg bag while broiler starter mash was at Rs 1,440.

“Broiler pre-starter concentrate 30 per cent” sold at Rs 1,540 for a 30-kg bag while layer concentrate quoted at Rs 1,365 for a 50-kg bag.

Pre-lay mash quoted at Rs 1,010 for a 50-kg bag and while broiler finisher went for Rs 1,420 for a 50-kg bag.

Poultry Products

Meanwhile, better demand pushed egg prices up while broiler witnessed some correction, on Wednesday.

Egg went up by 28 paisa and sold at Rs 3.40. Broiler went down by Rs 7 and quoted at Rs 78 a kg, while chick sold at Rs 22, unchanged.
