Both pulse seeds and pulses witnessed an uptrend in Indore mandis with demand outstripping arrivals. However, of all the pulse seeds, moong prices are on the boil amid steep decline in arrival. Maintaining an uptrend, new moong in Indore mandis on Friday rose to ₹7,200-7,500 a quintal (₹6,700-7,000), while moong (medium) rose to ₹6,400-6,900. Moong dal (medium) was at ₹7,000-7,100, moong dal (bold) at ₹7,600-7,700, while moong mongar ruled at ₹8,500-8,600.
Urad also witnessed uptrend with arrival outstripping demand. Urad (bold) rose to ₹4,800-4,900 (up ₹400 from last week), while urad (medium) rose to ₹4,200-4,500 (up ₹500. Urad dal (medium) was ₹5,000-5,100, while urad dal (bold) ruled at ₹6,000-6,500 and urad mongar at ₹8,000-8,100.
Slack arrival and improved demand also lifted masur and its dal with masur (bold) in local mandis today being quoted at ₹5,600, while masur (Madhya Pradesh) rose to ₹5,100-5,400.
