Physical rubber prices closed unchanged on Monday.
The market opened better but lost the initial gains later following a weak closing on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE). Sheet rubber was steady at ₹139 a kg, according to traders.
The August futures weakened to ₹138.90 (140.41), September to ₹137.55 (139.44)on the NMCE. RSS 3 (spot) dropped to ₹120.01 (120.57) at Bangkok. The August futures recovered partially to ¥192.8 (₹114.54) a kg on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange.
Spot rubber rates (₹/kg): RSS-4: 139 (139); RSS-5: 134 (134); Ungraded: 129 (129); ISNR 20: 117 (117) and Latex 60%: 105 (105).
