Better conditions persisted on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market on Saturday with mustard expeller and groundnut mill delivery oil prices rising up to Rs 100 per quintal mostly on increased offtake by millers amid rising demand from local parties.
In the non-edible section, rice bran oil edged up on industrial demand. Traders said increased offtake by vanaspati millers and local parties mainly influenced also supported the rise.
In the national capital, mustard expeller oil traded Rs 50 higher at Rs 6,750 per quintal on millers and retailers buying. Mustard pakki and kachi ghani oils gained Rs 10 each at Rsm 1,280-1,360 and Rs 1,365-1,465 per 15 kg tin, respectively.
Groundnut and sesame mill delivery oils gained Rs 100 each at Rs 10,100 and Rs 12,100 per quintal, respectively.
Among non-edible oils, rice bran oil strengthened to Rs 3,150-3,250 per quintal from Rs 3,100-3,200.
