Spot rubber prices improved marginally on Wednesday after the Kerala Government decided to increase the support price by ₹5 a kg to procure more produce from the growers.
Sheet rubber improved to ₹123 (₹122.50) a kg, according to traders. The grade firmed up to ₹122.50 (₹122) and ₹119.50 (₹119) respectively, according to the Rubber Board and dealers. The trend was mixed in other grades. RSS 3 (spot) weakened to ₹97.40 (₹97.66) at Bangkok. October futures closed at ¥175.3 (₹100.32) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange. Spot rubber rates (₹/ kg) follow: RSS-4: 123 (122.50); RSS-5: 116 (116); Ungraded: 110 (108); ISNR 20: 105.50 (105.50) and Latex (60% drc): 81 (81).
