Spot turmeric prices in Erode markets declined by ₹100 a quintal on Tuesday for want of upcountry demand.

At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association sales yard, the finger turmeric was sold at ₹4,170-6,256 a quintal; the root variety ₹4,023-6,104.
Salem Hybrid: The finger turmeric fetched ₹6,009-7,569; the root variety ₹5,799-6,409.
At the Regulated Market Committee, the finger turmeric ruled at ₹5,497-6,411; the root variety ₹5,409-6,299.
At the Erode Cooperative Marketing Society, the finger turmeric was sold at ₹5,650-6,446; the root variety ₹5,580-6,196.
