In a range-bound movement, aluminium traded 0.44 per cent higher at the futures trading today in line with a firming trend at the London Metal Exchange.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, aluminium for delivery in July gained 50 paise or 0.44 per cent to Rs 114.50 per kg with a business turnover of three lots.

The metal for delivery in May also strengthened by 40 paise or 0.35 per cent to Rs 113.25 per kg with a trading volume of two lots.

Market analysts said a firming trend in the entire base metals pack at the LME on hopes of pick-up in demand and a firming trend at the domestic spot market mainly influenced the trading sentiments at the futures trade here.

Meanwhile, at the London Metal Exchange aluminium gained 0.3 per cent to $2,512 per tonne.
