Pepper prices moved up on Tuesday following suspension on import of black pepper from Vietnam . Only 15 tonnes were traded at ₹595-605 a kg. Spot prices moved up by ₹200 a quintal to close at ₹58,600 (ungarbled) and ₹61,600 (garbled) a quintal.
March contract on the IPSTA increased by ₹1,000 a quintal to close at ₹62,000 a quintal. Indian export prices were at $9,500 a tonne c&f for Europe and $9,750 a tonne c&f for US.
