Spot pepper prices fell further on bearish sentiments built up by reports of availability of more imported cheap pepper, trade sources told BusinessLine. As a result, prices fell by ₹200 a quintal to ₹39,600 (ungarbled) and ₹41,600 (garbled).
On the terminal market, 10 tonnes of mixed pepper were traded at ₹375 a kg. Export price was at $6,700 a tonne c&f for Europe and $6,950 for the US.
