Indications of a bullish trend are seen in the spot pepper markets as enquiries have started pouring in from upcountry for the winter demand, according to trade sources. On the terminal market 10 tonnes of pepper, five tonnes each from the high ranges and the plains, were traded at ₹415 and₹410 a kg respectively. Spot prices remained unchanged at ₹40,900 (ungarbled) and ₹42,900 (garbled) a quintal. Indian export prices were at $6,750 a tonne c&f for Europe and $7,000 a tonne c&f for the US.
