Even as local mandis remained closed today, in private trading chana continued to trade higher at ₹9,800-10,000 a quintal, while chana (desi) ruled at ₹9,500. Compared to last week, chana is ruling ₹300 higher. Acute decline in domestic stock and speculations have primarily contributed to the rally in chana. Any decline in prices is expected only after arrival of imported chana from Australia, said Prakash Vora, a local trader. Chana dal (average) was ₹12,600-700, chana dal (medium) ₹12,800-900, while chana dal (bold) ruled at ₹13,200-600 a quintal. Our Correspondent
