Copra prices flucutate

Prices of copra and coconut oil increased suddenly on Tuesday. Till late on Monday, copra was sold at ₹8,500-8,700 a quintal and by noon on Tuesday prices jumped to ₹9,000. But the offtake was poor. Similarly, coconut oil was sold at ₹1,600/15 kg and shot to ₹1,850. But there were no buyers as many feel that the price may not sustain for long. Palm oil price increased to ₹4,880 a quintal, while that of sunflower oil remained unchanged.
