Cotton price traded unchanged as demand was limited from domestic mills. Kapas or raw cotton marginally declined on weak ginning demand. Traders said that, at the first day of the week, market trend was not so well. Domestic mills were buying as per their requirement which hold the price at the current level.
Gujarat Sankar-6 cotton traded at ₹33,400-33,500 per candy of 356 kg. About 40,000 bales arrived in Gujarat and 1.30 lakh bales arrived in India. Kapas declined ₹5 to ₹800-950 per 20 kg and gin delivery kapas quoted ₹950-970 per 20 kg. Cotton seed quoted ₹430-470 per 20 kg. According to traders, cotton prices expected further declining in the coming days.
