Cotton prices remained unchanged on limited demand from domestic mills. Arrivals at Gujarat have increased as farmers are now accepting cheque payment. Traders said slow demand following by rising arrival hold the cotton price steady. Looking to the present scenario price may decline during this week. Gujarat Sankar-6 cotton traded at ₹39,000-39,200 per candy of 356 kg. About 35,000 bales arrived in Gujarat and 1.45 lakh bales (of 170 kg each) arrived in India. Kapas or raw cotton traded flat on moderate buying by ginners. It quoted ₹980-1,050 per 20 kg and gin delivery kapas stood at ₹1,060-1,090 per 20 kg. Cottonseed stood at ₹450-485 per 20 kg.
