Cotton price remained steady on the back of moderate demand and slightly rise in demand. Traders said that, mandis are now slowly opening and arrival has improved since past two days which hold the rise in cotton price.
Gujarat Sankar -6 cotton traded at ₹40,000-40,200 per candy of 356 kg. About 92,000 bales arrived in India and 18,000 bales arrived in Gujarat. Kapas or raw cotton marginally decreased on weak ginning demand. It quoted down by ₹10 to ₹1,000-1,050 per 20 kg and gin delivery kapas stood at ₹1,060-1,100 per 20 kg.
Price may not decline in coming days as export demand expected from next week. Our Correspondent
