Crude oil futures declined by 0.43 per cent to Rs 4,902 per barrel today in line with a weak trend in Asian trade.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in January shed Rs 21, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 4,902 per barrel, with a business volume of 4,634 lots.
Similarly, the oil for February delivery moved down by Rs 19, or 0.38 per cent, to Rs 4,957 per barrel, with a turnover of 353 lots.
Marketmen said the fall in crude oil futures prices was mostly in line with a weakening trend in Asia on US fiscal cliff worries.
Meanwhile, crude oil for delivery in November was down 16 cents to $88.50 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
