Crude oil futures rose 0.2 per cent to Rs 3,535 per barrel today as speculators raised their bets amid a firm trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in November was trading higher by Rs 7 or 0.2 per cent at Rs 3,535 per barrel in 5,930 lots.
Analysts said rise in crude oil futures was largely in tandem with a rising trend in the global market.
Meanwhile, the US benchmark West Texas Intermediate crude rose 28 cents or 0.51 per cent to $54.66 a barrel and Brent crude was up 25 cents or 0.41 per cent at $61.19.
