Crude oil futures prices recovered by 0.56 per cent to Rs 6,678 per barrel today as speculators enlarged their positions, tracking a mixed trend in the Asian region, as investors await the outcome the US Federal Reserve’s policy meeting.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil prices for delivery in September traded higher by Rs 37 or 0.56 per cent at Rs 6,678 per barrel with a business turnover of 1,956 lots.
Similarly, October contract was also up by Rs 20 or 0.3 per cent at Rs 6,686 per barrel with a business volume of 478 lots.
Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate crude for October delivery gained 18 cents to $105.60 a barrel in the mid-morning trade on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
