Crude oil prices today fell 0.87 per cent to Rs 5,251 per barrel, after speculators reduced their exposures amid a weak trend in Asian trade.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in June fell Rs 46 or, 0.87 per cent to Rs 5,251 per barrel in 13,008 lots. Similarly, the oil for July delivery moved down by Rs 43 or, 0.81 per cent to Rs 5,279 per barrel in a turnover of 1,073 lots.

Meanwhile, crude oil for July delivery dropped 58 cents to $93.70 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
